The Ensco 123 rig was contracted to drill the appraisal well which spudded on August 8, according to information on the Oil and Gas According to the drilling contractor’s fleet status report from April, the Ensco 123’s contract with Premier was scheduled to start in July and end at the end of October 2019. The deal also includes one one-well option. The latest AIS data shows that the Ensco 123 is currently located at a port in Dundee. An other highlight for Premier Oil in 2018 included the approval of the Tolmount main gas developmen t in the southern North Sea. The Ensco 123 rig has been booked to drill an appraisal well for the Tolmount East extension in July, ahead of drilling the Tolmount main development wells in 2020. Namely, according to EnscoRowan’s latest fleet status report, the ENSCO 123 has been hired by Premier to drill two wells expected to start in July 2019 and end in October that year. The contract includes one one-well option. In addition, Premier has hired the rig for four wells expected to start in June 2020 and end in July 2021.
